Fans of Yellowstone have had quite a week. In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, series creator Taylor Sheridan suggested that the “next chapter” of his Yellowstone epic, a spinoff reported to feature Matthew McConaughey, may rely “heavily, if not entirely, on a new cast and location.”
What does this mean for Beth (Kelly Reilly) and Rip (Cole Hauser), two of the show’s most popular characters? Sheridan told THR that he just has “the broadest strokes” of the spinoff planned out, so it’s unclear what the show would entail.
Paramount Network has begun showing episodes of Yellowstone prequel 1883, which originally aired on Paramount+, on Sunday nights while Yellowstone is on hiatus. The Sam Elliott-starring series is available for live streaming and on-demand viewing on the Paramount Network website (with a cable login). But shall we return to the subject at hand?
When will there be more episodes of Yellowstone? This is all the information we have.
On June 25th, will Yellowstone be broadcast?
Nope. However, 1883 will be returning to Paramount Network. The first two episodes of Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone prequel, which first aired last week, will be replayed tonight, from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. ET, for anyone who may have missed them the first time around. The third episode of 1883, “River,” will premiere at 8:00 p.m. ET on Paramount Network and will be repeated at 9:06 p.m.
Every episode of Yellowstone is available to watch online now on Peacock Premium. If you subscribe to FuboTV, Sling TV ($6/month “Comedy Extra”), Hulu + Live TV, YouTube TV, Philo, or DIRECTV STREAM, you’ll have access to on-demand episodes from Season 5. Trial periods are available for new members to try out YouTube TV, FuboTV, and Philo.
At long last, Yellowstone episodes and seasons may be purchased in their entirety or individually on Amazon.
How soon will new episodes of Yellowstone be released?
The remaining six episodes of Season 5 had been scheduled for a summer release, but according to the latest schedule (h/t Deadline), filming will resume in August, and Paramount Network is targeting a November 2023 release.
It’s possible that the ongoing writers’ strike may have an effect on such plans; The Hollywood Reporter said recently that a comeback in November 2023 is “highly unlikely.” According to the same THR piece, more than six episodes may be planned for Part 2 of Season 5.
“If I think it takes 10 episodes to wrap it up, they’ll give me 10,” Sheridan said. It will take as much time as is required.
