Peloton Recalls Two Million Exercise Bikes for Fall and Injury Risks

The seat post piece can break while the bike is being used, which could cause the rider to fall and get hurt.

Peloton bikes with the model number PL01 are part of this recall. The Peloton Bike is 4 feet long and 2 feet wide. The seat, bars, and screen can all be adjusted to fit people of different heights.

On the inside of the front fork, near the motor, the name "Peloton" and the model number are written.

Peloton has gotten 35 reports of the seat post breaking and coming off the bike while it was being used.

Thirteen of these reports included injuries like a broken wrist, cuts, and bruises from falling off the bike.

From January 2018 to May 2023, you can buy the bike for about $1,400 at Peloton and Dick's Sporting Goods shops across the country and online at Onepeloton.com, Amazon.com, and Dicksportinggoods.com.
