Next week, hands-free footwear maker Kizik will launch its first shop in its native state.
The Utah firm will launch a 1,293-sq.-ft. store in Murray's Fashion Place Mall on Friday, May 19.
On Thursday, Kizik said that the shop would carry all sizes of men's, women's, and children's shoes, as well as new designs throughout the year. Kizik-branded family shirts, shoe care kits, and no-slip socks will be sold.
Kizik said MG2/The Lionesque Group's 38-foot glass storefront with a "larger-than-life" digital tile screen would exhibit the brand's unique step-in moments.
Wall-mounted shelving with a squiggle edge resembles the Kizik shoe outsole, and there is an in-store try-on area.
CEO Monte Deere called its opening a "pivotal moment" for Kizik. “To open our flagship store right down the street from where it all began is humbling and signals a new chapter for the company,” Deere added.
On May 19, Utah First Lady Abby Cox will cut the ribbon at the ceremonial opening. Deere and Kizik executives will accompany her.
This is the first of many new stores for Kizik, which grew by more than 250 percent and made more than $9 million in sales last year.
