Chris Stapleton Dedicates 2023 ACM Awards Entertainer of the Year Win to His Kids: "For Them"

"I never thought of myself as somebody who'd win this award," Stapleton remarked in his victory speech.

Chris Stapleton wins the 58th Academy of Country Music Awards for entertainer! At the annual country music awards, the "You Should Probably Leave" singer-songwriter won.

 defeating nominees Jason Aldean, Kane Brown, Luke Combs, Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood, and Morgan Wallen."I'm shocked—truly. "I don't deserve this, but thank you," said Stapleton, 45. 

"This category has so many amazing personalities. I stand and play. That's my nightly goal. I compose and record."

"I never thought I'd win this award," he said. My wife Morgane, thank you for all your hard work.

Stapleton praised his label, management, and "all the guys on the road, touring." The Grammy winner was nominated for male artist and song of the year for "You Should Probably Leave" at this year's program.

In 2022, 2021, 2019, and 2018, Stapleton was nominated for ACM entertainer of the year. His 2020 album Starting Over produced two No. 1 Billboard Hot Country Songs singles, "Starting Over" and "You Should Probably Leave."

Garth Brooks and Dolly Parton hosted the 2023 ACM Awards live on Prime Video from the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas. Amazon Freevee will webcast the event Friday.
