Aaron Rodgers was one of the players whom New York Jets general manager Joe Klecko wanted to move as far away from as possible at the beginning of the offseason.
However, after participating in organized team activities (OTAs) and observing how Rodgers has adapted to life in New York City, the future Hall of Famer has revised his opinion.

Klecko had earlier stated that Rodgers might “turn a bad feeling in that locker room,” given the youthful team which was “fighting with each other.” Even to the point of saying that he would like to have Derek Carr, whom the Jets did meet with, he expressed his preference for the other quarterback.
Rodgers’ presence in New York, on the other hand, has made Klecko a contented camper.
My only reservation was about how well he would get along with the younger boys; you know what I mean. Klecko stated to ESPN Radio’s Jake Asman. “I made a reference to it since we developed together as a team when I was younger, and that was the squad I was on. Because of how well we got along, that was a pretty great thing that happened. That was my expectation, and it appears that he has fulfilled it. He has won the respect of the rest of the team, and he is now instructing the players. He is acting in the same manner that one would expect Tom Brady to act. I think that everyone in New York is going to be somewhat taken aback by what he has in store for them.”

After spending his first 18 seasons with the Green Bay Packers, Rodgers is now playing for the New York Jets. However, the team who chose him in 2005 has signaled that they are ready to move on for some time now by selecting quarterback Jordan Love in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft. This suggests that they are ready to move on from him.
After he was formally presented as a member of the Jets in the month of April, Rodgers spent time with many teammates attending playoff games at Madison Square Garden featuring the New York Knicks and Rangers. In May, he attended the Taylor Swift Eras Tour performance that was held in his new stadium, MetLife Stadium.
He is feeling revitalized as he prepares to play in the NFL for the 19th time.
“The last six weeks have been about the most fun I’ve had in a while,” Rodgers said Friday in an interview with reporters. “It makes coming to work a lot more enjoyable when I am enthusiastic about the work that we are doing.”
Rodgers and the Jets will kick off their season against the Buffalo Bills on the first night of “Monday Night Football” on September 11.
