The backyard of Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott’s house features a turf football field measuring 55 yards in length.

The two-time Pro Bowler lives in a mansion near the Cowboys’ Frisco, Texas, training facility. Prescott’s NFL colleagues will work out in his backyard on a regular basis during the offseason.

“It’s awesome that they feel comfortable enough to use my field,” Prescott said Wednesday after he and ex-teammate Ezekiel Elliott worked out in Prescott’s backyard.

The Cowboys released Elliott after seven years together and three Pro Bowl appearances.

His performance dropped down significantly last year, and the team shifted its focus to Tony Pollard as its primary running back. Dallas was able to save $11 million by cutting ties with Elliott.

Despite the fact that Elliott has not yet signed with another NFL team, Prescott has continued to train with his “best friend.”

“That’s my best friend,” Prescott said. We’re going to keep working, keep pushing each other. How handsome he is! I’m his biggest fan and I can’t wait for him to succeed in whatever he does next.

As clubs debate whether to provide massive contracts to experienced ball carriers, the value of the running back position as a whole has plummeted. Elliott is joined in free agency by running backs Dalvin Cook, Leonard Fournette, and Kareem Hunt.

Meanwhile, the future of standout running back Saquon Barkley on the New York Giants appears to be at a crossroads.

Running back is a difficult position, according to Prescott. Every one of those men is a dynamic back who can still contribute and has plenty of gas left in the tank. I pray they all do what’s best instead of what’s easiest. The actions of this league never come as a shock. You should never let anything personal get to you in business.

Prescott further noted that wide receiver Jalen Tolbert has put on a display worthy of praise throughout the team’s off-season workouts.

It’s clear that “he’s itching to get better,” as Prescott put it. He always jumps to answer my questions. He’s got the correct attitude and he’s on the scene.

Even though Prescott was injured and missed five games last season, he still threw for 2,860 yards, 23 touchdowns, and 15 interceptions.
