‘Mad Men co-star, and longtime girlfriend Christina Hendricks was the lucky lady who became the bride of Jon Hamm, who also paid tribute to the program that made him a household name in many other ways.
On Saturday, the actor married Anna Osceola after two years of romance and an engagement last year. They reconnected after Jon’s breakup with his longtime partner Jennifer Westfeldt, whom they had met in 2015 on the set of “Mad Men.”
The wedding ceremony itself was impressive. In a way, Jon and Anna’s wedding was held on the beach since it took place in the picturesque Anderson Canyon in Big Sur.
Fans of “Mad Men” will understand the significance of the Big Sur setting: it was there that Don Draper found himself again, and the closing shot reveals Jon’s character discovering the inspiration for the famous “Hilltop” Coke ad from the 1970s.
Including several “Mad Men” actors and actresses on the guest list was a nice touch. John Slattery was there to express his support for his former co-star, and there may have been a few “Mad Men”-themed drinks floating about. Those teenagers drank like a fish.
Celebrities like Paul Rudd, Tina Fey, and Billy Crudup (who just got married himself) were also present. Their walkup tune was also Bond-related, as a band played the theme from “You Only Live Twice.” It was, in fact, a time warp to the 1960s.
The bride and groom, meanwhile, looked just stunning. Jon looked terrific in his tux, and Anna stunned in her elegant gown. Everyone else was also impeccably attired.
Best wishes to the newlyweds!
