Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez's jaw-dropping $78m Maui estate

After reportedly spending $78 million on a house in Hawaii with his fiancée, Lauren Sanchez, Jeff Bezos may no longer be the world’s richest person, but he is surely not suffering for cash.

The Amazon founder, then 59 years old, and his longterm companion, then 53 years old, bought a 14-acre estate near La Perouse Bay on Valley Isle in Maui in 2021, using some of his $500 million in real estate holdings.

Due to Jeff’s off-market purchase of the land, there are no publicly available images of their lavish mansion. However, sources indicate that there are three separate structures on the site.

The business mogul’s Maui mansion may have been pricey, but it’s not the most expensive property he owns. In 2020, Jeff will spend another $16 million to purchase a three-bedroom condo in the same New York City apartment building where he owns four floors for a total investment of $80 million. The building is located near Madison Square Park.

He owns two residences in the nation’s capital; in 2016, he spent $23 million for a mansion, and in 2020, he’ll spend $5 million on the house just across the street.

A $165 million Beverly Hills mansion with eight bedrooms, ten bathrooms, a koi pond, a European garden, a lagoon-style pool and spa, waterfalls, and a tennis court is his most costly residence.

He also owns a $24.4 million Spanish-style mansion on a two-acre estate and a $12.9 million mansion with four bedrooms and six baths in the immediate vicinity.

Moreover, the millionaire spent another $28 million on renovations to his $60 million mansion in the Seattle area in 2010.

Since Jeff’s affair with Lauren was revealed in 2019, he and Mackenzie, his wife of almost 25 years, have been enjoying the freedom of living apart.

On Twitter, Jeff said, “We want to make people aware of a development in our lives,” referring to his recent divorce. Our close friends and family know that we have decided to divorce and move forward with our lives together as friends following a lengthy time of love exploration and trial separation.

We count our blessings every day that we were meant to find each other, and we are very appreciative of the many years we have been able to spend married. We would have done it all over again if we’d known we were going to break up after 25 years.

He went on to say, “We’ve had such a beautiful life together as a married couple, and we also see amazing futures ahead, as parents, friends, partners, and businesses and projects, and as individuals pursuing initiatives and experiences. Although our names have changed, we are still a close-knit family and dear friends.

Since making their first public appearance as a couple in May of this year, Jeff and Lauren’s relationship has flourished.
