Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk recently named an AFC team that could make a run for Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook in free agency.
The team in question is the Miami Dolphins, who have a tangible link to Cook through their offensive coordinator, Chan Gailey.
Gailey was Cook's offensive coordinator at Florida State in 2015, and the two reportedly have a good relationship.
The Dolphins are in need of a running back after trading away Kenyan Drake last season.
Cook is coming off a career year in which he rushed for 1,135 yards and 13 touchdowns in 14 games.
However, Cook has a history of injuries, which could make teams hesitant to sign him to a long-term deal.
The Vikings have expressed interest in re-signing Cook, but it remains to be seen if they will be able to afford him.
If Cook hits the open market, the Dolphins could be a potential landing spot for the talented running back.
It remains to be seen if the Dolphins will pursue Cook in free agency, but the tangible link between him and Gailey could make it a possibility.
