On Thursday, President Joe Biden fell onstage at the U.S. Air Force Academy graduation in Colorado.

After giving the graduating address and shaking hands with graduates,

Biden collapsed near the podium and was helped up by Secret Service and Air Force officers.

The 80-year-old president went away unsupported.

He stood and greeted throughout the ceremony.

Pool reporters accompanying him said he tripped over a black sandbag used to stabilize his teleprompter and pointed to it after getting up.

"He's fine. "There was a sandbag on stage while he was shaking hands,"

White House communications director Ben LaBolt tweeted after videos of the event went viral.
