Fans of the Stars definitely had the impression that they had seen that game before. When the Stars played their first playoff game away from home at the Xcel Energy Center, it was essentially a repeat of game 3, which took place there. They just needed one goal from the Kraken to get the ball rolling, and they were off to the races. After Miro Heiskanen went down after taking a puck to the face, the Dallas Stars would go on to lose the game to the Kraken by a score of 7-2.
Even though I don’t know what happened to Jake Oettinger last night, I could see that he was quite disturbed up after that injury to Heiskanen. I don’t know what happened to him. It’s the first time in Oettinger’s entire career that he’s had a poor performance in the postseason. Because he was unable to keep track of the puck while it was being played on the rink, the Stars were unable to win their game in Seattle the other night.
However, there were a lot of goals scored by the Kraken that Otter could have easily prevented. The defense was also a factor in that. The performance he just gave was hardly his best. 2. After Miro was hurt, the team went missing. I don’t know what it is with the Stars and playing after a teammate is injured. When Joe Pavelski fell down in the first game against the Wild, the exact same thing happened. After Heiskanen went down in last night’s game and the Kraken let out their wrath and blitzed the Stars, the team basically played as if they were at a funeral and it was quite apparent. I mean, for the love of god, compete and bring home the victory for your side. While he was in the locker room getting stitches, I’m sure it was a source of frustration for him to hear the goal horn for the Kraken.

The only option left for the Stars at this point is to play game four in Seattle and attempt to get a split of the series. It is hoped that Heiskanen will be able to participate in game 4, which will take place on Tuesday evening. The Stars need to come back with a vengeance and even the score in this series against the Kraken, which is now deadlocked at 2. When the club heads back to Dallas for game 5 on Thursday night, they definitely don’t want to be on the verge of elimination like they are right now.
