Liverpool manager Juergen Klopp is urging his team to maintain pressure on their Premier League rivals in the final two games of the season as they make a late push for a top-four finish.
After a convincing 3-0 victory over Leicester City on Monday, Liverpool has secured a place in the Europa League for next season.
Currently, Liverpool is one point behind both Manchester United (in fourth place) and Newcastle United (in third place), although both teams have a game in hand.
Klopp expressed his doubts about Liverpool's chances of playing in Europe next season just six weeks ago due to a lack of consistency.
The only way for Liverpool to secure a top-four finish is by winning all of their remaining games.
Klopp acknowledged that while the outcome is partly dependent on their rivals losing points, their primary focus is on winning their matches and maintaining the pressure on the other teams.
Liverpool's next game is at home against Aston Villa on Saturday.
Their final match of the season will be an away game against Southampton, who have already been relegated.
Liverpool is currently enjoying a seven-game winning streak, which has significantly improved their chances of European qualification.
